Job Requirements

- good motor vehicle record
- ability to work night or weekend shifts
- ability to travel overnight when required
- must be physically capable of heavy lifting and physical work
- willingness to comply with personal protective equipment and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- minimum age of 21 years
- valid driver's license
- good motor vehicle record
- preferred NCDOT QMS Level I or II Plant Technician certification
- ability to work night or weekend shifts
- ability to travel overnight when required
- knowledge of quality control testing procedures is advantageous
Job Duties
- perform all quality control tests required by specifications including density and gradations
- take samples of incoming aggregates and monitor storage in stockpiles
- assist in adjusting plant feed systems to produce compliant blended aggregate gradations
- assist in preparing mix designs and job mix formulas
- prepare checklist to ensure mix designs are approved and properly dispatched
- perform tests necessary to evaluate and control mix quality
- recommend corrective actions to production personnel to ensure quality products
- collaborate with customers and Department of Transportation personnel to resolve testing or mix specification issues
- maintain good relations with general public engineers architects inspectors and customers to promote positive company image
- comply with company policies and perform additional duties as directed by supervisor
