Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- proficiency in computer and basic software use
- experience with food safety equipment and procedures
- ability to work in cold environment (below 40°F)
- ability to lift/push a minimum of 25 lbs
- strong problem-solving and communication skills
- ability to work independently
- availability to work weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- bilingual in English and Spanish
- proficient in using computer and basic software such as Microsoft Office
- ability to create and maintain trending charts and SOPs
- ability to use calculator, weight scales, thermometers, metal detector, ATP testing equipment, and mechanical food portioning and processing equipment
- previous food industry and quality assurance experience a plus
- strong mathematical, analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
- ability to work with minimum to no supervision
- self-starter and problem solver
- ability to work in fast paced environment with large groups
- flexible to work weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Maintain and initiate all recordkeeping and key performance indicators pertinent to the Quality Department and Global Quality System including food safety and sanitation
- daily monitor of Good Manufacturing Practices for compliance
- verify of coolers and freezer room temperature for compliance
- perform environmental swabs and microbiological sampling and submit to local laboratory for analysis
- obtain Chef Table samples to verify compliance to specification
- assist the Quality Manager in training and daily initiatives addressing quality, food safety, and sanitation issues
- conduct work station inspections to verify compliance including gold standard verification, specifications, sanitizer, food temperatures, HACCP documentation, and potentially hazardous food setup
- conduct portion control weight compliance to specifications
- conduct inspection checks including dispatch, galley, non-bonded, bonded, and equipment
- verify HACCP logs and other documents are accurately completed daily
- create charts, trending reports, training materials, and visuals
- maintain, monitor standards and train employees in compliance to Regulated Garbage Standards to meet USDA requirements
- support the Jump-off commissary locations with oversight
- train hourly employees as needed
- perform other tasks as requested
