Job Requirements

  • certificate iii or iv in commercial cookery or equivalent
  • experience in commercial or aged care cookery
  • understanding of food safety and HACCP principles
  • ability to work Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
  • effective communication and teamwork skills
  • compassionate attitude towards resident care

Job Qualifications

  • certificate iii or iv in commercial cookery or equivalent
  • experience in a similar chef role
  • knowledge of aged care dietary requirements is highly desired
  • strong understanding of food safety and HACCP principles
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve nutritious meals that meet specific dietary requirements
  • ensure all food preparation complies with food safety and HACCP standards
  • collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a welcoming and efficient kitchen environment
  • assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to accommodate resident preferences and health needs
  • maintain cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas
  • monitor food quality and portion sizes to meet budget and nutritional guidelines
  • contribute to a positive dining experience by fostering teamwork and effective communication
