Job Requirements

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or related major or minimum 4 years experience in Purchasing or related field
  • ability to manage and supervise a team
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in using computer hardware and software for purchasing and accounting processes
  • knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards applicable to purchasing and finance
  • capability to develop and enforce policies and procedures
  • commitment to adhering to sanitation and food handling standards
  • availability to work full time onsite at the Gaylord Opryland Resort location

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related field
  • minimum 4 years experience in Purchasing or related area
  • demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of budgeting, operating statements, and payroll reports
  • experience in inventory management and vendor relations
  • familiarity with compliance regulations and sanitation standards
  • proficient with computer systems and software relevant to purchasing and accounting
  • ability to analyze data and utilize judgment for decision making

Job Duties

  • Manage purchasing of supplies and products used at the location
  • formulate and maintain an approved vendors list
  • approve payment of items following established purchasing procedures
  • generate accurate and timely reports and presentations
  • conduct inventories and maintain inventory controls
  • ensure compliance with brand systems, sanitation standards, and applicable laws
  • supervise Purchasing Department operations and lead staff development
  • train employees on purchasing system and ensure understanding of expectations
  • implement and enforce control procedures for goods receiving
  • manage financial aspects including budget, expenses, and tax compliance
  • provide accurate administration of invoices and bookkeeping
  • analyze information to solve problems and make sound business decisions
  • maintain open communication with executives, peers, and team members
