Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • associate degree preferred in criminology, criminal justice, or related field
  • one year experience in emergency communications, law enforcement, or related field
  • or equivalent training, education, or experience
  • valid South Carolina driver’s license
  • must maintain NCIC certification every two years
  • must pass and maintain CJIS Security Awareness Training

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge of emergency communications systems
  • experience in law enforcement or related field
  • proficiency with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
  • ability to operate security and surveillance tools
  • strong communication and multitasking skills
  • training in NCIC policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • perform and record calls for service
  • monitor all radio channels and coordinate agency responses
  • monitor the airport security access control system and cameras
  • utilize NCIC system for data entry and verification
  • coordinate safety responses with multiple departments
  • serve as the public safety answering point
  • inform public of lost or stolen property recovery
  • coordinate with Air Traffic Control and mutual aid for emergencies
  • process department documentation and reports
  • operate various office and communication equipment
  • perform other assigned duties
