Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- associate degree preferred in criminology, criminal justice, or related field
- one year experience in emergency communications, law enforcement, or related field
- or equivalent training, education, or experience
- valid South Carolina driver’s license
- must maintain NCIC certification every two years
- must pass and maintain CJIS Security Awareness Training
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- knowledge of emergency communications systems
- experience in law enforcement or related field
- proficiency with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- ability to operate security and surveillance tools
- strong communication and multitasking skills
- training in NCIC policies and procedures
Job Duties
- perform and record calls for service
- monitor all radio channels and coordinate agency responses
- monitor the airport security access control system and cameras
- utilize NCIC system for data entry and verification
- coordinate safety responses with multiple departments
- serve as the public safety answering point
- inform public of lost or stolen property recovery
- coordinate with Air Traffic Control and mutual aid for emergencies
- process department documentation and reports
- operate various office and communication equipment
- perform other assigned duties
