Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree with major coursework in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
- One year of experience in emergency communications, law enforcement, or a related field
- Or equivalent training, education, and/or experience
- Valid South Carolina driver's license
- Must maintain NCIC Certification every two years
- Must pass and maintain CJIS Security Awareness Training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree preferred in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or related field
- One year of experience in emergency communications, law enforcement, or related field
- Ability to maintain NCIC Certification
- Completion of CJIS Security Awareness Training
- Valid South Carolina driver’s license
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in operating computer aided dispatch and security systems
Job Duties
- Performs and records calls for service using radio and computer aided dispatch systems
- Monitors airport security access control system and cameras for security breaches
- Performs data entry and management in the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC)
- Coordinates safety response with Security, Maintenance, and Airport Operations teams
- Serves as the Public Safety Answering Point taking emergency and non-emergency calls
- Coordinates with external agencies including Air Traffic Control and Joint Base Charleston during emergencies
- Processes documentation associated with department operations
- Operates various computer and office equipment to complete work assignments
- Performs other assigned duties
