Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of security experience
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience
- Valid Florida Class D Security License
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and conduct
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security technology systems
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D., some college preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on security experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a security-related role
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Problem-solving and leadership capabilities
- Clear police record and eligibility under state security guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based platforms
- Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems
- Skilled in operating CCTV and access control systems
- Familiarity with emergency communication platforms
- Valid Florida Class D Security License
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification preferred
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Directly manages full and part-time Public Safety Supervisors and indirectly supervises Public Safety Officers and contracted security personnel
- Maintains surveillance, post orders, and security standards across the MBCC campus and associated venues
- Oversees the Command Center operations and ensures proper functioning of life-safety systems
- Conducts shift briefings and ensures appropriate staffing levels for all events
- Manages incident reporting, risk concerns, staffing issues, and communicates key information to the Director of Public Safety & Transportation
- Develops and enforces policies, procedures, and best practices for the Public Safety Department
- Coordinates emergency preparedness, threat assessments, and safety training in collaboration with internal departments and external agencies
