Job Requirements
- NIMS incident management level 1 within 120 days of hire
- CPR, First Aid, AED instructor certification within 120 days of hire
- Obtain and maintain Ohio Department of Public Safety security license as qualifying agent within 120 days
- Minimum eight years of management experience in security or law enforcement
- Knowledge of venue security and safety operations
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build relationships and hold staff accountable
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Superior customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and shift work based on event needs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible management experience in security or law enforcement
- Solid knowledge of venue security and safety planning and investigations
- Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to security operations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Superior customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Valid state driver’s license
Job Duties
- Develops and maintains departmental policies, programs, and standard operating procedures to minimize liability exposures and losses
- Oversees all security and safety activities to ensure high levels of security, safety, and comfort for patrons and employees
- Exemplifies a customer service philosophy with the department staff
- Serves as liaison with law enforcement, safety regulatory, and security agencies
- Manages operational requirements of security and safety for cost-effective use of manpower and equipment
- Oversees facility staff training in safety-related areas such as CRASE, CPR, and crowd control certification
- Manages investigations related to security incidents, loss prevention, and emergency response
- Coordinates with show managers, contractors, private security firms, and staff on security matters and policy enforcement
- Responsible for security systems, key systems, and photo ID badge program compliance
- Controls accident, health, and loss exposures while ensuring OSHA compliance
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
