Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid EMT License recognized by the State of Connecticut’s Department of Public Health
- Minimum of one year experience in public safety, EMS, or dispatch preferred
- Ability to use electronic CAD systems
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities in emergency settings
- Capacity to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid EMT License recognized by the State of Connecticut's Department of Public Health
- One year experience in public safety, EMS, or dispatch preferred
- Familiarity with electronic CAD systems
- Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Dispatch emergency requests for hospital public safety and fire safety departments
- Coordinate LIFE STAR helicopter flight requests
- Manage Connecticut Children Medical Center’s Critical Care Ground Transport Team responses
- Prioritize incoming emergency calls using established procedures
- Obtain and record necessary information for dispatch
- Pre-alert and notify appropriate response teams
- Use electronic CAD systems to document and track incidents
