Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- related work experience in law enforcement, security, airport, military or customer service involving direct contact with customers
- an equivalent combination of education and experience
- valid driver’s license
- maintain Security Identification Display Area clearance
- ability to climb, stand, walk, finger, talk, hear and see
- capable of exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- effective oral and written communication skills
- ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups

- maintain Security Identification Display Area clearance
- strong oral and written communication skills
- demonstrated skill in use of hand held metal detector
- ability to establish and maintain effective, fair, cooperative, and respectful relationships with colleagues and the public
Job Duties
- Directs traffic flow in front of terminal buildings and other assigned areas
- enforces parking regulations by ensuring no vehicles are unattended or improperly parked and issues citations for violations
- supports the Airport Master Security Plan
- directs customer flow to TSA ticket document check positions and other assigned locations
- monitors and adjusts security queue lanes based on customer volume to minimize wait times
- acts as a customer service representative assisting the public with questions and directions
- performs specialized lost and found retrievals as assigned
- conducts vehicle and personnel searches using hand held metal detectors
- maintains Security Identification Display Area clearance requirements
- performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned
