The Miami Beach Convention Center, a premier venue for conventions, public events, and community gatherings, is seeking a dedicated Public Safety & Transportation Administrative Assistant & Receptionist to join its team. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of two years relevant administrative or operational support experience
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- valid driver's license
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- capability to lift up to 25 pounds
- professional appearance
- ability to work on-site at Miami Beach Convention Center
- bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Answer and route incoming calls
- greet visitors and assist with inquiries
- process visitor access requests and issue temporary passes
- log guest and vendor activity
- receive, sort and distribute mail and deliveries
- assist with scheduling tasks including roster distribution and meeting coordination
- prepare and route correspondence and internal communications
- organize and maintain departmental records and documentation
- ensure proper document formatting and filing accuracy
- perform accurate data entry for operational and compliance documentation
- assist with maintaining OSHA-required documentation including injury and illness logs and training compliance records
- support the preparation of operational and safety reports and event documentation
- provide administrative support during major events and inspections
- assist with procurement and vendor coordination including processing purchase orders and tracking invoices
- coordinate communication with internal departments and external partners
- maintain confidentiality of sensitive records and files
- perform additional administrative duties as required
