Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- work experience directly related to the area of employment
- at least two years of experience with event planning and execution
- at least two years of experience coordinating with event vendors including scheduling and fielding invoices
- experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work some after-hours, weekend, and/or holiday work hours required
- ability to access work areas
- ability to lift file boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
- ability to climb stairs and push carts
- ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
- flexibility and adaptability
- ability to work under deadlines
- ability to work both autonomously and on a team
- excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- at least two years of experience with event planning and execution
- at least two years of experience coordinating with event vendors including scheduling and fielding invoices
- experience using Microsoft Office Suite in a business setting
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work some after-hours, weekend, and/or holiday work hours
- college degree in a related field preferred
- experience working in museums or other cultural institutions preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as primary event manager and coordinator
- coordinate interdepartmental planning and staffing for community engagement programs
- communicate and coordinate with program vendors and partners
- field and submit invoices
- identify, procure, and organize event supplies and materials
- coordinate and assist in event setup and breakdown
- event troubleshooting
- work as handler for partners and VIPs
- volunteer event support
- staff event support
- all other duties as assigned
