Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment
  • at least two years of experience with event planning and execution
  • at least two years of experience coordinating with event vendors including scheduling and fielding invoices
  • experience using the Microsoft Office Suite in a business setting
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • must have a valid driver’s license
  • some after-hours, weekend, and/or holiday work hours required
  • must be able to access work areas
  • able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • ability to climb stairs and push carts
  • ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
  • flexibility and adaptability in changing environments
  • demonstrated ability to work under deadlines both independently and as a team member
  • excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • ability to work well with a diverse staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • at least two years of event planning and execution experience
  • experience coordinating with event vendors including scheduling and invoice management
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite in a business setting
  • excellent oral and written communication skills
  • valid driver’s license
  • flexibility to work after-hours, weekends, and holidays
  • strong time management and organizational skills
  • ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • experience working well with a diverse staff

Job Duties

  • Serve as primary event manager and coordinator
  • coordinate interdepartmental planning and staffing for community engagement programs
  • communicate and coordinate with program vendors and partners
  • field and submit invoices
  • identify, procure, and organize event supplies and materials
  • coordinate and assist in event setup and breakdown
  • troubleshoot events
  • serve as handler for partners and VIPs
  • provide volunteer event support
  • provide staff event support
  • perform all other duties as assigned
