Job Requirements
- Completion of four years college with courses in journalism English and public speaking
- Two years professional experience in informational writing research or dissemination of information
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Completion of ISP background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel statewide including overnight stays
- Ability to lift load unload set up and tear down equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and assist with lifting up to 75 lbs
- Ability to attend seminars conferences and trainings to stay current with industry methods tools and ideologies
- Ability to use agency technology and equipment properly in compliance with security and confidentiality policies
Job Qualifications
- Completion of four years college with courses in journalism English and public speaking
- Two years professional experience in informational writing research or dissemination of information
- Professional experience working with current media formats and non-linear editing preferred
- Experience in studio video production planning developing shooting or directing preferred
- Experience recording and editing training videos preferred
- Experience editing video including redacting portions of audio or video preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as videographer and editor producing and shooting video productions
- Perform statewide field productions and editing of news events
- Plan direct shoot and monitor video production and duplication sections
- Serve as liaison between Illinois State Police and news media regarding video distribution
- Assist Chief Public Information Officer and Social Media Coordinator
- Write video scripts
- Perform other related duties as assigned
