Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • no experience required as training will be provided
  • must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
  • will require pre-employment and random drug screening
  • able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • punctual and reliable attendance
  • ability to climb ladders and use cleaning equipment safely
  • ability to work in noisy environments
  • ability to handle exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, or other atmospheric conditions
  • ready to comply with all housekeeping department policies and procedures
  • willing to assist in emergency evacuations
  • able to stand, walk, crouch, kneel, stoop, balance, push, pull, reach, and talk for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • capable of working with others effectively
  • able to operate heavy cleaning tools used in custodial work
  • able to prepare custodial heavy cleaning reports
  • able to retain information from departmental training
  • able to communicate effectively and maintain good public and employee relations
  • preferred to have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • preferred to have custodial experience

Job Duties

  • Performs custodial duties including dusting, vacuuming, and trash disposal
  • cleans restrooms
  • cleans windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and carpets
  • cleans Bingo Hall, Slot Machines, and other furnishings
  • complies with Housekeeping Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • assists in emergency evacuation procedures
  • moves or lifts furniture and boxes
  • cleans ceiling fixtures using ladders safely
  • utilizes high lift for custodial tasks when required
  • performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of custodial equipment
  • reports equipment repair needs to supervisor
  • disposes of trash as required
  • recycles used boxes
  • mentors new custodial employees during probation using the buddy system
  • attends and completes required departmental training including bio clean-up, carpet shampooing, and chemical safety
  • reports maintenance or hazardous issues during tasks
  • turns in lost and found items to Security or supervisor/lead
  • completes project assignments
  • provides proper customer service by assisting guests with questions or requests
  • maintains punctual and regular attendance according to scheduled shifts
