Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- no previous experience required, training provided
- must pass stringent background investigation
- must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- ability to perform physical activities including balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and talking
- must maintain punctual and regular attendance
- comply with safety and housekeeping SOPs
- willingness to assist in emergency evacuations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- custodial experience preferred
- ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment
- ability to communicate effectively and maintain good relations with public and employees
- ability to work well with others
- ability to prepare custodial cleaning reports
- ability to retain information from training sessions
Job Duties
- Performs custodial duties including dusting, vacuuming, and trash disposal
- cleans restrooms
- cleans windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and carpets
- cleans Bingo Hall, Slot Machines, and other furnishings
- complies with Housekeeping Department Standard Operating Procedures
- assists in emergency evacuation procedures
- moves or lifts furniture and boxes
- cleans ceiling fixtures using ladders
- utilizes high lift for custodial tasks
- performs preventive maintenance of custodial equipment
- reports equipment repair needs
- disposes of trash and recycles boxes
- serves as mentor for new employees during probationary period
- completes required departmental training including bio clean-up, carpet shampooing, and chemical safety
- reports maintenance or hazardous issues to supervisor
- turns in lost and found items
- completes project assignments
- provides proper customer service by assisting guests
- maintains punctual and regular attendance as per schedule
