Job Requirements
- Physical fitness to perform duties including bending, stooping, and lifting
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving is required
- Ability to handle industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Adherence to hotel rules, policies and safety regulations
- Must wear proper uniform and nametag during shifts
- Excellent time management and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively with team and management
- Willingness to assist fellow associates and take on additional duties
Job Qualifications
- Must be physically fit with ability to bend, stoop and lift
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Experience working with industrial laundry equipment, cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and guest service
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adhere to safety and operational protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is an asset
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
Job Duties
- Pick-up reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- Sign out and sign in all keys at the start and end of shifts
- Proceed to laundry area to pick up cart and supplies
- Minimize noise in guest room areas at all times
- Clean all public areas of the hotel
- Mop all tile floors with wet floor signs for safety
- Clean and mop public restrooms
- Respond to reasonable requests by management
- Remain flexible with work schedules
- Report to work on time in proper clean uniform with name tag
- Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and updates
- Be aware of guest service scores and comments
- Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, and standards
- Know and act on all emergency procedures
- Report unusual occurrences or requests to management
- Assist fellow associates to improve hotel operations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Maintain valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
