Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in housekeeping or janitorial roles preferred
- Ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks frequently
- Must adhere to uniform and grooming standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Job Qualifications
- Must be physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience operating industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling
- Strong attention to detail for high cleanliness standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with guest service goals and hospitality standards
- Able to follow safety and emergency protocols
Job Duties
- Pick up reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- Sign out and sign in keys in the key control log at the start and end of shifts
- Proceed to the laundry area to pick up cart and necessary supplies
- Avoid making excessive noise in guest room areas at all times
- Clean all public areas of the hotel including lobbies and hallways
- Mop all tile floors using wet floor signs for guest safety
- Clean and mop public restrooms
- Carry out reasonable requests by management
- Be flexible in work schedule
- Report to work on time wearing proper clean uniform including name tag
- Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and updates
- Be aware of guest service scores and participate in achieving GSS goals
- Handle duties according to hotel policies, procedures, rules, and standards
- Know and act on emergency procedures
- Report unusual occurrences or requests to management
- Assist colleagues to improve hotel operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Hold a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving is applicable
