Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- physical ability to lift over 50 pounds
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
- willingness to adhere to hotel’s safety and operational guidelines
- capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Physically fit with ability to bend, stoop, and lift
- able to work independently with minimal supervision
- competent with industrial laundry equipment, cleaning equipment, and chemicals
- knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and standards
- awareness of emergency procedures
- strong guest service orientation
- good communication skills
- ability to follow instructions
- punctual and reliable
Job Duties
- Pick up reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- sign out and sign in keys through key control log at the start and end of each shift
- collect cart and supplies from the laundry area
- maintain quietness in guest room areas to avoid disturbances
- clean all public areas of the hotel
- mop tile floors using wet floor signs for safety
- clean and mop public restrooms
- comply with all reasonable management requests
- be flexible with work schedule
- report to work on time in proper uniform including name tag
- stay up-to-date with daily hotel operations, new procedures, and events
- remain aware of guest service scores and understand guest comments and needs
- follow hotel policies, procedures, and emergency protocols
- report unusual occurrences or requests to the manager
- collaborate with fellow associates to improve daily operations
- perform additional duties as assigned
- hold a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if required
