Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience highly preferred
  • Flexible and able to work long hours
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Approach all encounters with attentiveness, friendliness and courtesy
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Maintain proper uniform, PPE and nametag

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain attentiveness, friendliness and courteousness to all guests, managers and employees
  • Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety to guests, fellow employees and self
  • Handle lost and found items according to hotel standards
  • Turn in all keys and assignment sheets to Housekeeping Office at shift end
  • Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
  • Assist with correct guestroom cleaning procedures when needed
  • Deliver clean linen to assigned sections if necessary
  • Pick up Room Attendant's dirty linen or trash as required
  • Collect trash from service landings and dispose in outside dumpsters
  • Vacuum guest corridors
  • Keep hallways, public areas and closets neat and organized
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in public restrooms
  • Adhere to schedule for project cleaning of public areas
  • Maintain stairwells to hotel standards
  • Keep ash urns clean and filled with sand
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
