Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
  • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English
  • Must be energetic and outgoing
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a team player able to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand and work with basic financial information
  • Typing speed of 45 words per minute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
  • Must exercise confidentiality and discretion
  • Must abide by payroll policies and company safety and security procedures
  • Must be willing to travel as needed for hotel familiarization and content creation shoots

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree preferred
  • 1 plus years previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Walk all assigned areas at beginning and end of shift
  • Remove newspapers, pick up and replace towels in pool area, empty trash containers and ash urns in public areas
  • Dust all tables, lamps, and ledges in public areas and corridors
  • Inspect condition of furniture for tears and stains and report damages
  • Clean and maintain lights in public areas
  • Maintain supply levels in public areas including pads, pencils, toilet paper, and Kleenex
  • Clean and maintain public restrooms, checking twice each hour
  • Perform routine checks of all public areas to ensure cleanliness
  • Clean windows, glass, and doors in public and employee areas
  • Check elevators, pool area, mop floors, clean carpets, and polish brass as necessary
  • Clean floor surfaces using designated chemicals
  • Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary
  • Contact other departments for urgent repairs
  • Respond promptly to guest and department requests
  • Report maintenance issues in public areas and guest rooms
  • Respond in a friendly and courteous manner to guests, managers, and associates
  • Follow all company safety and security policies
  • Report all guest issues and complaints to management
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and assist as needed
  • Attend meetings as required by management
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
