Job Requirements
- Resume demonstrating one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade or pay band in federal service or equivalent experience in private or public sector
- Experience managing public affairs programs or supporting senior leadership
- Experience providing technical direction in media relations, community engagement, and public information
- Ability to develop and coordinate special events and ceremonies under deadlines
- Skill in advising on policies to foster good community relations
- Capability to write articles and speeches for commanding officers
- Proficiency in preparing and publishing multimedia content using content management systems and social media tools
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade level
- Experience managing public affairs programs or providing support to senior leadership
- Experience providing professional guidance in media relations and community engagement
- Experience advising on public affairs policies and procedures
- Experience coordinating special programs and events under tight deadlines
- Experience writing articles and speeches for senior leaders
- Experience with digital content management and social media publishing
Job Duties
- Manage public affairs program for an installation or program
- Provide public affairs support to senior leadership
- Manage and provide guidance in media relations, community engagement, and public information
- Advise on policies and procedures to foster good community relations
- Develop and coordinate special programs, events, and ceremonies with stakeholder engagement and news coverage
- Advise directors and operational leaders on handling media-related problems
- Write articles and speeches for the commanding officer
- Prepare and publish photos, videos, and graphics using website content management systems and social media tools
