Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of bar or beverage supervisory experience
- valid Ohio Driver's license
- ability to lift up to 55 pounds and exert up to 100 pounds occasionally
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to train and lead teams
- strong communication and math skills
- drug-free workplace compliance
- successful completion of background check
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of previous bar or beverage supervisory experience with multiple beverage outlets or hotel
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- TIPS certification preferred (will train)
- Serve Safe and PIC certification preferred (will train)
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- strong math skills with the ability to read, retain and train others on manuals and POS software
- experience with POS software and Delphi preferred
- intermediate knowledge of liquor, beer and wine products, trends, service and operations
- excellent customer relations skills
- willingness to work evenings and weekends
- understanding of proper service standards from a 4-diamond perspective
Job Duties
- Manage all aspects of the food and beverage operations for the onsite Pub
- create and maintain beer, wine and spirits menus and inventory while keeping informed of local and national trends
- play an active role in creating marketing and cross-usage programs to maximize inventory and grow revenue
- complete departmental paperwork including F&B plans, resume summaries, interdepartmental paperwork, BEO’s, amenity forms, and 10-day forecasts
- manage daily reports, paperwork, guest receipts and cash handling with the accounting department
- complete weekly staff schedules, interview, hire, train and retain server and bartender team
- ensure knowledgeable service, consistency and quality standards by the Pub team
- conduct monthly educational training on proper alcohol handling
- inventory, order, receive, organize and distribute beverages while maintaining budgeted costs
- maintain all food and beverage equipment, oversee storage, distribution and sanitation procedures including safety and OSHA compliance
- ensure the Pub is clean and organized according to guidelines
- provide daily operational support by delegating duties and monitoring staff performance
- inspect work areas and conduct performance reviews
- interact with guests to maintain strong client relations and promptly resolve concerns
- work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- act as manager on duty when required
- promote a positive culture within the department and property
