Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One year of experience in event organization, recreation and community services, or related field
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays
- Ability to lift, drag, and push equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
- Valid Class C driver license or ability to use alternative transportation highly desirable
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Must be able to operate City vehicles safely
- Must be capable of performing traffic control and flagging duties
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team
Job Qualifications

- One year of experience in event organization, recreation, or community services
- Experience with lighting and sound equipment highly desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Positive, team-oriented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
- Ability to operate City vehicles safely
- Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Assist in the production of local community events
- Perform equipment setup including securing cords, setting truss, stage, canopies, and arranging tables and chairs
- Operate City vehicles to load, unload, transport, and deliver event equipment
- Organize warehouse and take inventory of event supplies and equipment
- Provide customer service to event attendees and staff event booths
- Provide technical assistance for stage lighting and sound
- Perform traffic control and flagging at special events
