Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience in event organization, recreation and community services, or related field
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays
  • Ability to lift, drag, and push equipment weighing 50 pounds or more
  • Valid Class C driver license or ability to use alternative transportation highly desirable
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
  • Must be able to operate City vehicles safely
  • Must be capable of performing traffic control and flagging duties
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience in event organization, recreation, or community services
  • Experience with lighting and sound equipment highly desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Positive, team-oriented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
  • Ability to operate City vehicles safely
  • Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist in the production of local community events
  • Perform equipment setup including securing cords, setting truss, stage, canopies, and arranging tables and chairs
  • Operate City vehicles to load, unload, transport, and deliver event equipment
  • Organize warehouse and take inventory of event supplies and equipment
  • Provide customer service to event attendees and staff event booths
  • Provide technical assistance for stage lighting and sound
  • Perform traffic control and flagging at special events
