Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience in event organization or related area
  • Valid Class C Driver License preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to operate stage lighting and sound equipment preferred
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to follow safety protocols and maintain professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and reliably
  • Willingness to perform traffic control duties during events

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of experience in event organization, recreation or community services, or related field
  • Ability to operate stage lighting and sound equipment is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Class C Driver License or alternative transportation highly desirable
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment safely
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist in the production of local community events including Cowboy Festival and 4th of July Fireworks
  • Perform equipment setup such as securing cords or banners, setting truss, stages, canopies, and dance floors
  • Operate City vehicles to load, unload, transport, and deliver event equipment
  • Organize warehouse and take inventory of event supplies and equipment
  • Provide customer service and accurate information to event attendees and staff
  • Provide technical assistance for stage lighting and sound as needed
  • Perform traffic control and flagging during special events
  • Perform other duties assigned by Arts and Events Coordinator or Supervisor
