Job Requirements

  • age over 18 years or have proper work permit and authorization documentation
  • background clearances as required by government regulations
  • complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results within last 6 months or within 7 days of employment
  • ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motion
  • ability to lift/carry 40+ lbs
  • must be mobile and able to perform physical requirements of the job
  • mindful use of resources and supplies minimizing waste
  • meet all regulatory requirements including HIPAA and resident rights compliance

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food service or customer service preferred
  • good communication skills including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English
  • ability to operate standard serving equipment
  • basic counting skills
  • ability to deal tactfully and professionally with residents, family members, and team members
  • completion of dining room training course with CCG
  • meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements

Job Duties

  • takes written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner
  • assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested
  • use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
  • review residents dietary needs as outlined by supervisor
  • track resident attendance at meals and provide that information in a timely manner
  • ensure all residents are greeted and seated properly, making efforts to integrate new residents
  • ensure a clean sanitary dining area and comply with all policies and procedures regarding proper food handling and serving
  • display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, team members, and guests
  • aid in community marketing through positive interactions, dress and behavior by following grooming and dress standards
  • serve, clean, reset tables, return dishes to kitchen
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
  • clean and set up dining and food service areas including stocking condiments
  • cooperate with kitchen and dining services to ensure positive dining experience
  • report any safety or equipment issues to supervisor
