Job Requirements
- Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
- Age over 18 years or proper work permit
- Background clearances as required
- Complete health screening and provide negative TB test within 6 months
- Basic counting skills for tracking meals and residents
- Good communication skills including English proficiency
- Ability to operate serving equipment
- Mindfulness regarding resource and supply usage
- Ability to handle interactions tactfully and professionally
- Completion of dining room training
- Compliance with state regulatory requirements
- Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, push, pull, and lift 40 plus pounds
- Ability to move intermittently throughout the community
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality operations preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Knowledge of proper food handling and etiquette
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to policies
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate standard serving equipment
- Willingness to complete dining room training course with CCG
Job Duties
- Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner
- Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested
- Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
- Review residents dietary needs as outlined by Supervisor
- Track resident attendance at meals and provide information to appropriate personnel
- Greet and seat all residents properly, making efforts to welcome new residents
- Ensure clean, sanitary dining area and comply with food handling policies
- Display tact and friendliness with residents, team members, and guests
- Support community marketing efforts through positive interactions and professional dress
- Serve, clean, reset tables, and return dishes to kitchen
- Assist with other kitchen and dining services to ensure positive dining experience
- Report safety or equipment issues to Supervisor
- Clean and set up dining and food service areas, restock condiments
- Assist with deliveries, stock put away, and dishwashing as needed
- Deliver meals to resident rooms and collect trays post-meal
