Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing adequately
- professional and neat appearance
- free of communicable disease
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- courteous and diplomatic under all circumstances
- completion of drug testing and criminal record background check
- physical ability to bend, stand, lift, stoop, sit, walk, stretch, and carry up to 40 pounds
- adherence to all policies and procedures

Job Duties
- Administer or follow written and oral directions
- communicate and relate to community residents
- assist in set-ups and dining room service
- take orders and serve food appropriately
- set-up and deliver trays upon chef's request
- bus tables and trays in dining areas
- pour and cover beverages
- assist in preparing and covering food
- care for kitchen and dining equipment
- clean work areas as directed
- work steadily to meet demands of cooks and residents
- cooperate with dining associates for efficient operation
- understand and relate menu to residents
- act as liaison between residents and food service
- observe infection control procedures
- follow residents' rights policies
- follow facility safety program
- maintain neat appearance and dress code
- work scheduled shifts dependably
- perform other duties as assigned
