Job Requirements
- Stand 100 percent of the time with occasional walking short distances
- Use hands to frequently handle currency and operate cash register, lottery machine, scanner, computer, and calculator
- Bend and lift products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally
- Push or pull up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level and occasionally above shoulder or below waist level
- Meet established volume activity standards
- Have sufficient visual acuity to check IDs, checks, invoices, and other documents

- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements
- Demonstrated ability to perform technical requirements of the job
- Completed cashier/service associate training packet
Job Duties
- Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures
- Clean service desk/kiosk
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and follow company personal appearance policy
- Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervision
- Work within company’s management planning guidelines to maintain productivity
- Support and comply with all company’s safety standards and communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance
- Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect
- Perform accurate price check functions
- Control excessive use of store supplies such as ribbons, receipt tape, bags and cleaning materials
- Record any price discrepancies and request price checks promptly according to company policy
- Verify all customer IDs and observe store policies on acceptance of checks and sale of tobacco/alcoholic beverages
- Adhere to company policy on cash register management and request cash pickups
- Observe security standards by staying alert and report abnormal behavior
- Process various transaction types including cash, checks, authorized sales, electronic payments, WIC, coupons, gift cards, refunds, lottery, and Western Union in compliance with policies and legal requirements
- Secure register at all times when unattended
- Use and maintain equipment properly and report problems
- Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards according to store and health regulations
- Be knowledgeable about produce merchandise and differentiate between varieties
- Frequently perform cashier and service associate functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
