Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and children’s events
- Retail or customer service experience
- Excellent people skills
- Good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
- Ability to remain standing for long periods
- Ability to move throughout the store
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
- Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using ladders
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and early mornings
- Ability to engage with guests of all ages and co-workers
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children and managing children’s events
- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written and nonverbal communication
- Strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain positive interactions
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Capable of engaging with customers of all ages
Job Duties
- Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
- Engage clients across various ages by fostering a fun and creative atmosphere
- Demonstrate and instruct craft projects and activities such as face painting
- Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
- Communicate event details with clients and store team members
- Complete event-related administrative tasks including emails, phone calls, and paperwork
- Adapt event plans based on client feedback and develop backup plans
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards by setting up, breaking down, and cleaning before and after events
- Assist customers with product selection and support them in shopping
- Provide fast and friendly checkout experiences
- Promote rewards programs and complete enrollments
- Educate customers on Voice of Customer (VOC) surveys
- Support omnichannel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
- Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes
- Maintain merchandise recovery and store cleanliness
- Support shrink and safety programs
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance
- Interact respectfully and positively with team members and customers
- Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
- Participate in daily store cleanliness activities
