Job Requirements
- Possession of a Class C California Driver's License
- ability to plan recreational programs for youths aged 6-14
- willingness to work part-time hours including occasional additional hours
- any combination of training, education and experience providing required skills
- knowledge of basic first aid
- ability to communicate effectively
- organizational skills
- ability to maintain accurate records
- logical decision-making skills

- Spanish speaking skills are desirable
- standard first aid certification and CPR certificate are desirable
Job Duties
- Supervise recreation programs for children aged 6-14
- issue and manage recreation equipment and supplies
- conduct safety and maintenance inspections of buildings and facilities
- prepare sites for playground and special programs
- lead and organize contests, games, music, arts and crafts, sports, drama and dance activities
- maintain paperwork and prepare oral and written reports
- assist in supervising community-wide special events
- attend weekly planning meetings
