Job Requirements
- Must submit to drug testing and a background check
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
- Ability to lift fifty pounds
- Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, walking, standing, bending, and handling materials
- Must wear uniforms and specific safety related items
- Must work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of shop safety standards
- Must be well organized
- Must be able to read and write English
- CDL with airbrakes preferred
- Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision
- Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts
- Ability to work as a team
- Must be PC literate
Job Duties
- Daily fueling of all vehicles as required
- Documentation of all fluid transactions in log sheet
- Daily pulling and dumping of fare box vaults
- Daily cleaning of interior and exterior of all vehicles including sweeping and removal of graffiti and debris
- Daily check of all vehicle tires for air pressure and damage
- Daily check of all units for body damage and proper working lights
- Responsible for moving or positioning a variety of equipment (Yard Permit)
- Clean vehicles at remote locations such as transfer centers or relief points
- Perform basic shop and housekeeping duties
- Complete required forms for entry into computer system
- Other duties as assigned for efficient operation of the facility
