Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong guest service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Experience as a Sportsbook or Mutuels Writer/Teller preferred
  • One year of guest service and cash/credit card processing experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills preferred

Job Duties

  • Accurately write, verify, and issue payments for sports and horse racing wagers in compliance with company policies, state regulations, and federal gaming statutes
  • Follow all procedures for the sale and payout of tickets
  • Educate guests on wagering rules, procedures, betting lines, and odds
  • Maintain and balance a cash bank throughout the shift, reconciling transactions at shift end
  • Maintain work area cleanliness and ensure adequate inventory of supplies
  • Address guest questions, concerns, or complaints, escalating as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of sporting and horse racing events, property promotions, and offerings
  • Follow company safety standards and prioritize workplace safety
  • Stay current on industry developments, resources, and best practices through ongoing training
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication in all guest interactions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
