Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail or customer service experience required
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Capacity to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly
  • Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment
  • Must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local legal job requirements
  • Must be able to perform physical requirements of the role
  • Must engage in teamwork and promote a positive environment

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by fostering a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and activities like face painting
  • Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails and making phone calls
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans as needed
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events
  • Uphold company cleanliness and safety standards
  • Help customers shop and locate products
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and credit card enrollments
  • Assist with omni-channel processes including BOPIS and Ship From Store
  • Participate in truck unloading, merchandising, and planogram processes
  • Perform merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and company policies
  • Interact respectfully and positively with customers and team members
  • Cross train in custom framing sales and production
  • Maintain cleanliness of store including sweeping, vacuuming, and restroom upkeep
  • Other duties as assigned
