- High school diploma or GED
- prior experience in warehouse or freight handling
- ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- willingness to follow safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- experience in warehouse freight dock forklift or pallet jack operations
- forklift certification or hazmat training is preferred
- ability to lift and move various objects
- knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance
Job Duties
- Loads and unloads trailers using forklifts and pallet jacks in compliance with regulations
- operates dock tools to secure freight including maintaining straps and dunnage
- loads recoups rewraps and stacks freight as needed
- verifies shipments by reading labels and securing freight properly
- follows bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely claims-free shipments
- logs reports and processes shortages and damages
- promotes and maintains a safe and clean work environment
