Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • previous warehouse or freight handling experience preferred
  • forklift certification or relevant training
  • physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
  • ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • warehouse, freight, dock, forklift, or pallet jack experience
  • forklift certification or hazmat training
  • ability to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights

Job Duties

  • load and unload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment in compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation regulations
  • operate dock tools to ensure freight is loaded securely and properly, including maintaining straps, bars, air bags, cardboard, and dunnage
  • load, recoup, rewrap, and stack freight as needed
  • verify shipments by reading labels and correctly securing freight for both loading and unloading trailers
  • follow established bill and quality control procedures to ensure timely, claims-free, and cost-efficient shipments
  • log, report, and process any shortages and damages to freight
  • promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment
