Job Requirements
- No minimum education requirement
- Availability to work part-time hours as scheduled
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds individually and up to 97 pounds in group lifts
- Ability to climb ladders and reach above head
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to use 2-way radios and input data into computer systems
- Adherence to company policies and procedures

- Compliance with applicable laws and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-3 years experience in a customer-centric environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage customers with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic math skills for transaction handling
- Ability to learn and apply product knowledge quickly
- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable with physical demands of the job
Job Duties
- Greet every JOANN customer and use the F.A.S.T. service model to meet customer needs
- Ask open-ended questions to learn about customers projects needs and escort them to desired product locations
- Engage in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving at the cutting counter, cash register, and sales floor
- Process customer transactions at the cutting counter and cash register efficiently and professionally
- Lift boxes from truck and receiving area, unload freight, stock shelves accurately according to planogram
- Maintain high standards on sales floor by cleaning, recovering shelves, putting away returns, and cleaning spills
- Invite customers to participate in store activities such as education classes and custom framing
- Drive sales through product knowledge, suggestive selling, innovative merchandising, and building strong customer relationships
- Minimize shrink by following policies related to cutting counter accuracy, remnants, damages, and inventory management
- Assist other Team Members with tasks to ensure team exceeds expectations
- Work with Store Management and other Team Members on projects in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist in training new Team Members on register operation, fabric cutting, stocking, and customer service
