Job Duties
- prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
- alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs or improve recipes
- ensures attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving
- coordinates and participates in serving food including monitoring portion control
- maintains accurate record of chargeable meals and submits records on time
- assists with menu planning including seasonal ingredient consideration and vendor pricing
- assists in identifying food and supplies needed for menus and reports to dietary manager
- prepares meats for storage and controls portion upon delivery
- maintains a clean, orderly, safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- ensures compliance with all regulations
- assists in training other kitchen staff in food preparation
- performs other duties as assigned
- complies with all policies and procedures and updates
