Job Requirements
- Certification in food safety - ServSafe
- valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to work
- proven cooking experience as line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook or completion of a culinary program
- ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work well with team members of different skill levels
- basic math and computer skills
- proficiency in kitchen equipment and knife skills
- reliable and consistent attendance
- ability to lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Sets and stocks stations with all necessary supplies
- preps food for service including chopping vegetables or fruit and preparing soups and sauces
- cooks all menu items in accordance with specific recipes in coordination with the kitchen staff
- ensures all recipes and food presentation standards are followed with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and speed
- complies with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations
- communicates maintenance issues or improvement suggestions to the Executive Chef
- maintains a positive and professional demeanor with employees, members, and guests
- certifies in food safety and follows health and safety regulations including proper waste disposal and equipment maintenance
- keeps food and drink areas clean, organized, and visually appealing
- adheres to employee handbook, departmental policies, and employment laws
- completes other duties as assigned
