Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous cashier or retail experience is a plus
- strong customer service skills
- basic math proficiency
- ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems
- good communication skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- scan purchases accurately
- bag groceries efficiently and carefully
- process all customer transactions including cash, credit, and digital payments
- provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
- answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate store departments
- assist with other store duties as needed
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area
