Job Requirements

Able to bend, twist, lift at least 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods
Experience in bartending with at least 2 years preferably in catering or banquet environments
Ability to follow directions independently
Strong verbal communication skills
Willingness to work flexible shifts according to event scheduling
Legal age to serve alcohol

Job Duties

Review the event worksheet before arriving at the event to be knowledgeable about the timeline, bar type, and food
Check in with the Event Captain or Co-Captain upon arrival and departure
Help unload the Groovin' Gourmets vehicle and set up the bar area including glassware
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests
Answer questions about drink ingredients and suggest beverages and cocktails
Verify all guests served alcohol are of legal drinking age
Handle cash or credit payments for drinks if there is a cash bar using the Square app
Clean up the bar area and pack beer and wines after the event
Assist with general event breakdown, ensuring no debris remains and rentals are neatly stacked
