Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency degree
- Preferred 1-2 years grocery retail experience in front end department
- Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong initiative when problems arise
- Flexibility to adapt in various situations
- Advanced attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to multitask and organize work
- Support and contribute to team goals
- Willingness to work varied shifts
- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to use a Point of Sale (POS) system
Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in the natural foods industry is a plus
- Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service at all times
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced retail environment and work cross-functionally

- Advanced attention to detail with prioritization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to multitask and possess excellent organizational skills
- Ability to support and contribute to team goals
- Willingness to work varied hours and days
- Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
- Demonstrated ability to use a Point of Sale (POS) system
Job Duties
- Walk the store prior to each shift to ensure awareness of promotional and sale items
- Compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets showing amount due
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or automatic debits
- Issue receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks, or change due to customers
- Operate cash register by scanning items or entering PLU/UPC codes manually and display cost information
- Greet customers entering store and respond promptly to customer needs
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas ensuring no personal items are present
- Issue coupons and rain checks
- Perform other duties as assigned
