Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year experience in back-of-house operations
  • Food Handler's and Alcohol Awareness Certificates preferred
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have a professional attitude and appearance
  • Some travel required
  • Daily lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs for up to 10 minutes
  • Performing repetitive eye/hand coordination tasks
  • Ability to balance and have good manual dexterity
  • Constant reaching, standing, walking, and stooping
  • Knowledge of computers and basic computer programs

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler's Certificate preferred

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
  • Make quick and accurate decisions during events
  • Consult with assistant manager on serving arrangements and additional resource needs
  • Set up bars, concessions, banquet tables according to BEO or manager instructions
  • Meet with Chef on Duty each shift to review setup and labor requirements
  • Lead and motivate server teams, resolve conflicts, and exceed guest expectations
  • Inspect function spaces for cleanliness and organization prior to events
  • Adhere to TABC policies regarding alcohol service
  • Maintain inventory and ensure back-of-house cleanliness and order
  • Complete all paperwork and closing duties as required
  • Notify assistant manager of low stock items
  • Prep and assign tasks for food and beverage setups
  • Follow all assigned duties as needed for event operations
