Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in beverage or food service preferred
- knowledge of liquor laws and responsible alcohol service
- must hold a current Food Handler Card
- ability to handle cash accurately
- physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to follow safety and security procedures
- good communication skills
- ability to work part time hours
- willingness to follow company grooming standards
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- current Food Handler Card
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle transactions
- basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
- basic English communication skills
- ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
- memory to promote menu items
- ability to operate beverage equipment
- ability to transport up to 30 pounds
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promote and document orders for drinks
- mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and portion control
- maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- requisition and stock all beverages, paper products, condiments and produce based on daily function projections
- maintain stock, cut and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- receive cash from guests, make change, verify charges and record transactions
- lock up and store beverages, food and equipment
- deposit cash drops and secure bank
- answer bar phone within three rings and take room service orders accurately
- input orders into register and create guest checks
- perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- adhere to company policies and procedures
- follow safety and security procedures and rules
- know department fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilize protective equipment
- report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisor
- maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
- perform related duties as requested by supervisor
- assist other beverage personnel as needed
