Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Basic understanding of cash handling procedures
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting and standing for long periods
- Must hold a valid Food Handler Card
- Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and various alcoholic beverages
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations related to serving alcohol
- Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and handle transactions
- Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers
- Sufficient manual dexterity for garnish preparation and drink mixing
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in English
- Ability to operate beverage equipment
- Ability to transport and lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
Job Duties
- Serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests
- Act as a cashier for the lounge including receiving cash, making change, verifying charges and recording transactions
- Greet guests and promote, document orders for drinks
- Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily including requisitioning and stocking all necessary supplies
- Maintain stock and condition of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and perishables
- Answer bar phone promptly and take room service orders accurately
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products
- Adhere to company policies, safety, and security procedures
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries and property damage to supervisor
- Maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance as per team standards
- Assist other beverage personnel as needed
