Job Requirements

Pass a background check and mandatory drug test
must be flexible regarding scheduling based on business demands, including nights, weekends and holidays
able to lift up to 20 lbs
able to bend, stretch, and twist
able to stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

Some High School education or equivalent
proven customer service skills and communication skills
experience utilizing basic math skills with ability to add, subtract multiply and divide
ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction
previous experience demonstrating strong customer service
prior experience utilizing restaurant equipment and sanitation standards
previous experience with cash transactions and Point of Sale systems
proven teamwork skills
able to read and interpret English language manuals relating to safety, operations, and procedures

Job Duties

Opens and closes the coffee shop according to established policies and procedures
communicates with guests to take food and beverage orders
operates espresso machine and other shop equipment to prepare drinks and pastries
provides outstanding customer service and engage in suggestive selling
maintains equipment, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots breakdowns and/or calls for repairs
assists in stocking food and beverage items as needed
performs cash-handling functions, including POS system, registers, and daily reporting
ensures the coffee shop adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service
ensures the daily operation of the coffee shop adheres to operating procedure guidelines
assists in other positions in the F&B team as needed
