Job Requirements

  • Completion of a master's degree in the field or bachelor's degree in hospitality-related discipline plus significant professional experience
  • Experience with substantial levels of responsibility and supervisory roles in hospitality
  • Availability to teach on campus in person
  • Ability to adapt to various modes of instruction
  • Sensitivity to educational needs of diverse student populations
  • Availability to consult with students
  • Willingness to comply with background checks and university policies

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in the field of teaching or bachelor's degree in hospitality-related discipline with substantial professional experience
  • Nationally recognized certificates and licenses relevant to hospitality such as CHSP, CHE, CHRM are preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Experience with technology integration in teaching
  • Ability to prepare and deliver course content effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Teach 3 or more credit hours
  • Instruct courses such as ProStart, Culinary, Introduction to Hotel, and Introduction to Event Management
  • Prepare course materials and lesson plans
  • Grade assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Consult and support students academically both in person and online
  • Integrate technology effectively into course delivery
  • Comply with university policies on instruction, evaluation, and academic support
