Job Qualifications
- Four-year degree preferred
- Two-year associate degree
- Seven years general full-time business experience
- Three years experience in property management
- Preferred certifications include ARM, CAM, RAM, or HCCP
- Knowledge of residential property management
- Proficient sales skills
- Good organizational and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Professional image
- Yardi software skills preferred
Job Duties
- Train and be responsible for work performed by all staff members under their supervision
- Hire and terminate employees in accordance with company policy
- Perform written evaluations of employees and recommend salary increases or advancement
- Maintain accurate payroll records and adhere to payroll policies
- Assist in leasing apartments and prepare, process, sign leases and related forms
- Assist in rent collection and handle delinquency matters
- Maintain necessary records of all financial transactions for the property
- Adhere to all company accounting policies and prepare daily bank deposits
- Purchase office supplies in accordance with policy
- Supervise outside contractors
- Handle all details for move-ins and move-outs including apartment inspections
- Ensure the community is clean and well-maintained
- Work within the budget and report variations
- Resolve resident complaints
- Report accidents and emergencies immediately and prepare reports
- Ensure timely handling of maintenance requests and notify residents of delays
- Inspect property routinely and address deficiencies within budget
- Establish maintenance and office coverage schedules
- Perform all marketing aspects of the apartment community
- Collaborate with Regional Property Manager on the annual operating budget
- Maintain communication with employees, residents, applicants, and vendors
- Travel as required
- Perform other assigned duties
