Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in maintenance or hospitality preferred
- ability to work flexible hours
- physical capability to climb stairs and ladders repetitively
- ability to perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, sitting, standing, bending, and twisting
- ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- commitment to follow safety and emergency procedures
- willingness to perform various property maintenance and cleanliness tasks
- ability to manage and track inventory of supplies and tools
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role preferred
- knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing work
- ability to operate cleaning equipment
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good communication skills
- physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
- shampooing carpets or cleaning hard surface floors
- performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
- carrying out light plumbing tasks including plunging toilets, snaking toilets, and unclogging sinks
- conducting preventative maintenance programs
- performing public space janitorial work
- maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
- cleaning PTAC units
- repairing drywall and painting
- caulking
- maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools and providing orders to management
- prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens, trash, moving furniture, reviewing maintenance needs
- knowing and following property emergency procedures
- ensuring security needs of the property and guests are met
- performing other duties as assigned
