Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or hotel property role preferred
  • ability to perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and ladders
  • must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • flexible availability to complete multiple hotel responsibilities
  • commitment to safety and quality standards
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hotel maintenance or similar role preferred
  • basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
  • ability to manage inventory and order supplies
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Managing work orders in a timely manner while adhering to a proper preventative maintenance schedule
  • shampooing carpets and cleaning hard surface floors
  • performing light electrical work such as changing an outlet or wall switch
  • performing light plumbing such as plunging toilets and unclogging sinks
  • conducting preventative maintenance programs
  • performing public space janitorial work
  • maintaining parking lot upkeep and trash cleanup
  • cleaning PTAC units
  • repairing drywall
  • painting
  • caulking
  • maintaining and managing inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • providing orders to management
  • prepping rooms for housekeepers including removing linens and trash
  • moving furniture
  • reviewing maintenance needs
  • knowing and following property emergency procedures
  • ensuring the security needs of the property and guests are met
  • performing other duties as assigned
